Bio

Coming from an improv and sketch background, Amanda ventured out into the stand-up comedy scene in 2007. Since then, she has multiple comedy festivals under her belt including Just For Laughs, The Bridgetown Comedy Festival, JFL42, NXNE, The Women In Comedy Festival and Sled Island. 

Most recently, Amanda won Best Female Stand Up in NOW magazine’s Best Of T.O. Reader’s Choice Awards and was one of the 42 headline acts at JFL42 in Toronto. In July of 2016 she released her debut comedy album “AKA Randy” which hit #1 on the Canadian Comedy iTunes charts. She was also nominated for Best Stand Up Newcomer at the 2010 Canadian Comedy Awards and for 2014’s Best Breakout Artist and Best Audio Show for her podcast We’re Doing It.

She’s written for Hulu/City TV's animated comedy Mother Up! featuring the voice of Desperate Housewive's star Eva Longoria and has worked alongside Kids In The Hall alum Dave Foley, Mark McKinney & Bruce McCulloch. Most recently she wrote, directed and produced on CMT’s sketch show Almost Genius. You can also see her on The Comedy Network's Match Game, alongside SCTV's Catherine O'Hara. Amanda has opened for the likes of Kurt Braunohler, Joe Mande, James Adomian, Jackie Kashian and featured on Andy Kindler's Alternative Show.

Despite all of these EARTH SHATTERING credits, her proudest achievement to date is moving out of her parents’ house before her older brother did.
